'DAM CHANNEL Enka'
Ms. Sanae Jounouchi appointed as the 5th MC.
Starting October 5th on Karaoke-on-Demand DAM
Daiichikosho Co., Ltd. has appointed Sanae Jounouchi, who celebrates her 35th anniversary as a singer this year, as the 5th MC of “DAM CHANNEL Enka,” an informational content series specializing in enka and kayōkyoku songs distributed between karaoke performances on Karaoke-on-Demand DAM nationwide. The revamped DAM CHANNEL Enka with the new MC will begin on October 5th.
"DAM CHANNEL Enka" is a program that invites artists from the enka and kayou genres as guests to talk about episodes related to their songs. Since its start in July 2017, it has been loved by enka and kayou fans.
Starting with the first MC, Natsumi Kawano, followed by Misaki Iwasa, Yuki Seguchi, and Takuya Nakazawa, a total of four individuals have served as MCs to date. Now, the talented and popular enka singer Sanae Jounouchi has been appointed as the 5th MC.
The new “DAM CHANNEL Enka” will feature Souichi Futami as the first guest and will be distributed on October 5th.

■ Sanae Jounouchi Profile
Born in Ibaraki Prefecture, she debuted in the entertainment industry in 1985 as a member of Onyanko Club. The following year, she made her solo debut with “Ajisai Bashi.” After Onyanko Club disbanded, she fully pursued a career in enka. She has numerous hit songs, including “Ochoko Tsuru” and “Yorisoi Hotaru.” She is affiliated with Tokuma Japan Communications.
