Contribution to the Healthy Living of the Elderly
Our country faces significant challenges in "extending healthy life expectancy" and "reducing the workload in caregiving settings" due to the rapid progression of population decline and the aging population with a low birthrate, in order to optimize social security costs.
Our group, anticipating a super-aging society, developed the 'DK Elder System' in 2001 to utilize our main business, karaoke, for promoting the health of the elderly, and we have been working to popularize it.
The 'DK Elder System' is a system for 'functional training' and 'care prevention' utilizing the communication karaoke equipment 'DAM'. With abundant content created from the basic concept of 'using music', 'using the body', and 'watching with the eyes', it not only reduces the workload of facility staff in care facilities but also enables recreational activities and functional training that users can continue to enjoy. In municipal-related facilities, it facilitates the development of care prevention classes that contribute to the revitalization of local communities and the prevention of frailty among participants.
As of the end of March 2024, the system has expanded its market to include private care facilities, municipal-related facilities, facilities for the disabled, nurseries, kindergartens, and other facilities, and has been introduced in approximately 27,000 welfare-related facilities, with further expansion expected.
Our group will continue to contribute to solving social issues in a super-aging society through the 'DK Elder System'.

□ 'FREE DAM LIFE' Obtains Certification Mark from the Japan Home Care Association
The dedicated device 'FREE DAM LIFE' for the 'DK Elder System', which includes content useful for elderly care prevention and health promotion, has obtained the 'Certification Mark' issued by the Japan Home Care Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association).
The Association is a group of home care service providers that aims to improve the quality and efficiency of services to fulfill their social responsibility in an aging society, ensure social trust in private home care services, and contribute to creating a social environment where the elderly can receive care with peace of mind.
The 'Association Certification Mark System' was established by the Association to provide a reliable guideline for users and caregivers when selecting care-related products and services in facilities and home care.

After trial use of 'FREE DAM LIFE' for verification purposes at several facilities operated by member companies of the Association, a survey was conducted on ease of use and degree of workload reduction, and high evaluations were received in all items, leading to the acquisition of the certification mark.
We will continue to contribute to the functional training and health maintenance of care facility users.
Furthermore, we believe that utilizing technology to improve efficiency in the caregiving field is important, and by addressing industry challenges such as labor shortages and workload, we aim to enhance the appeal of caregiving professions and create a more conducive working environment.
□ Undertaking preventive care business
Our group has been commissioned by local governments to conduct preventive care projects and provides enjoyable and sustainable music health programs using the DK Elder System to numerous municipalities.

・Study on the Effectiveness of Karaoke for Stress
Our company, in collaboration with NTT Communications Corporation, conducted a 'Study on the Stress Improvement Effect of Karaoke Singing' to support corporate health management through stress management measures. This study involved 121 employees of NTT Communications who participated from January 15 to February 28, 2018, singing karaoke for at least one hour per session, at least once a week, to examine changes in stress.
As a result, it was found that negative emotions improved and positive emotions increased before and after karaoke singing, stress improved, and daily activities were invigorated. Based on these findings, we will promote proposals for using karaoke to maintain the mental and physical health of working people.
