Society <Social Contribution>

Our group leverages its main business, the karaoke industry, and nationwide stores including Big Echo to engage in various social contribution activities.

■ Conducting Workplace Experience at Big Echo

To bring the charm of karaoke closer to various generations, we have started an initiative to conduct workplace experiences at Big Echo for elementary, junior high, and high schools across the country.
Participants will experience at actual stores how we deliver 'joy' to customers by acquiring important skills such as morals, manners, and communication, which are valued in Big Echo's services.

Participants will experience unique Big Echo jobs such as 'customer service,' 'karaoke equipment maintenance,' 'kitchen work experience,' and 'new menu planning and creation,' learning the importance of teamwork in stores and how to delight customers.

Greeting practice
After changing into uniforms, participants practice greetings to provide customers with a comfortable time, paying attention to appropriate tone and demeanor.

Food and Drink Preparation and Tasting
Participants check recipes of the menu offered at the store and prepare dishes, focusing on careful presentation to enhance the appeal of the food.

Practice serving customers
Participants learn the basic ways to hold and carry trays, check the balance of food and drink placement, and learn techniques to prevent spills and falls.

Room Standby (Cleaning and Preparation)
Participants thoroughly clean the room before welcoming the next customer, creating a comfortable environment and preparing to provide the best service.

Karaoke Equipment and Microphone Maintenance
Participants engage in disassembling microphones to understand their internal structure, learning about microphone design and materials to deepen their knowledge of machinery.

New menu planning and creation
Participants devise a new menu and actually create it, using creativity to craft a menu that will delight customers.

Participants have expressed great satisfaction and empathy towards Big Echo's initiatives.
Our company is committed to social contribution activities that nurture children who will open the future.

■ Support in the event of a disaster

・Support Stations for Returning Home During Disasters

In the event of a large-scale disaster causing public transportation such as trains and buses to stop operating, it is expected that many people will find it difficult to return home. In the event of such a disaster, all Big Echo stores will provide tap water, toilets, rest areas, power sources, Wi-Fi, and available road information. Based on this policy, we have currently signed agreements with the Kanto Regional Governors' Conference [Disaster Prevention and Crisis Management Committee] (Saitama Prefecture, Chiba Prefecture, Tokyo, Kanagawa Prefecture, Yokohama City, Kawasaki City, Chiba City, Saitama City, Sagamihara City) and the Kansai Wide Area Union (Shiga Prefecture, Kyoto Prefecture, Osaka Prefecture, Hyogo Prefecture, Nara Prefecture, Wakayama Prefecture, Tottori Prefecture, Tokushima Prefecture, Kyoto City, Osaka City, Sakai City, Kobe City) for support stations for returning home during disasters.

■ Contributing to work style reform

・Initiatives to Promote Telework

At Big Echo, aiming to assist with the work style reforms promoted by the government, we started offering the 'Telework Plan' in April 2017 at 27 stores in the metropolitan area, allowing karaoke rooms to be used as workspaces for telework and other purposes. Due to its high convenience for business use and requests from customers wanting to use it outside the metropolitan area, we expanded the number of stores to 49 in April 2019 and implemented it in all stores from October 2019.
The strength of 'Telework at Big Echo' lies in the numerous stores located near stations and the fully private rooms that provide an environment conducive to concentration.
As part of this plan's free services, we offer unlimited soft drinks, Wi-Fi internet access, power strips necessary for workspaces, smartphone charger rentals, and HDMI cables (in some locations). It is utilized as a place for students' online classes and study. Additionally, there is a free app service available for corporate clients that allows for consolidated invoice payments.
